It's refreshing that so many designers and brands are teaming with charities and causes that make you feel a little better about your purchase and play a part in helping people and communities. The latest one I've found is Tommy Hilfiger's Promise Collection that benefits relief work in Uganda. The pieces have the prettiest color combos and patterns. I can't get enough of the looks and how many people these lines help.

'ello
I'm going to be a total flake this week and I'm sorry. I've reached the age where I now need recovery periods from vacations...and I only get 3 days this time before I'm off on my trip back home for 10 days for a bachelorette, wedding, and pure relaxation with my parents and brothers. I'll post pictures and such, but I can't promise I'll be functioning anywhere near a computer.
In other news, Gilt's preview of the Trina Turk for Banana Republic line starts today at noon.
And in more news, the jewelry line Robert Rose is offering 40% off their entire site with code LUCKY8. These are my two favorites:

loving
the way Emily, I mean Amanda, no really Emily [Revenge fans will understand my confusion] looks in this dress. Perfection.
She's quickly becoming a fashionista and I approve. As long as her hair stays more blond than yellow.

the year of sandals
Since this is officially my 3rd? 4th? post on summer sandals it has become obvious to me that retailers are putting forth a bigger effort to supply us with fashionable footwear. I welcome these choices over the generic, cheap sandals that usually stock the shelves in these stores. And with the continued influx of potential purchases, I thought it was appropriate to continue to post all the cute and affordable finds I've come across. Today is GAP's day. I'm impressed by the beautiful beading and color combos they've chosen and appreciate spending $40 and under on these things. [P.S. today's the last day for 20% of your purchase with the code GAPLOVE]

best.night.of.my.life.
This weekend I was privileged enough to have an intimate 1-on-1 concert with my country boyfriend, Luke Bryan. DISCLAIMER: IF YOU DO NOT CARE FOR MY BOYFRIEND, OR COUNTRY MUSIC IN GENERAL, THIS POST WILL MEAN NOTHING TO YOU, BUT EVERYTHING TO ME. I should clarify that the 1-on-1 I speak of was merely just an intimate concert moment when LB told me he loved me and there may or may not have been 20,000 other people there. Either way, it was the best night of my life and it's all thanks to my dear friend Susannah and her great boss Jeremy, who is a ticket snob and let us join in the snobbery with him in the 2nd row....dead center. Hence why it shouldn't surprise y'all that my bf LB threw me one of his guitar picks, more specifically the one that was in his mouth. After this weekend I am still on cloud 9 and am willing to debate whether or not Luke Bryan is the sexiest individual I have ever come across. Oh, and his friend Jason Aldean was there....and Ludacris. I love GA.
ran into some UGA footballers

Inspiration
This photo of Jessica Alba shopping in NYC last week left me wanting her entire outfit. I love her casual, comfy, but still stylish ensembles. She looks totally put together, but comfortable in her outfits, unlike the horribly uncomfortable looking Kim K. I cringe every time I see a picture of KK because the amount of pain resonating from her heels alone would do me in. Not to mention I like to be able to sit down in what I wear [too much to ask?]. This outfit is also a nice departure from the brights I fully embrace in my wardrobe, so I thought it was a must to recreate, especially since all of these items individually will go with everything.
panama hat + cream scarf
add a neautral sweater + white button down
and then the cropped khakis + nude wedges
PERFECTION.

Etsy Feature Friday
I'm working on a new Friday feature to shake things up, but for now I'll continue to feature all the great things on etsy! Today's eff is one of my all time favorite etsy shops: Devon Baer Designs. I haven't featured DBD on the blog before because as beautiful as her pieces are, they are an investment, unless you shell out $200 on the reg for tunic tops. I caved though because this shop is amazing and needs to be represented.
Devon started her etsy shop awhile ago and it has become wildly popular, allowing her to expand her business. The nice thing about said situation though is that she remains in charge of everything from the beginning to the end. As in your garment isn't coming from a factory, hence the price. She was recently featured in Matchbook magazine which makes it wildly apparent why she and her designs have such a strong, growing following.

fleabags
Don't let the name fool you...these bags are great and nothing remotely similar to what the name suggests. Rather, the name fleabags represents the founders' love of flea markets, not the disgustingly annoying bug. The ladies wanted to make the perfect "dapper, large, lightweight and sturdy carry-alls - that are also eco-minded," and in my book they succeeded. These bags are versatile and great for any purpose.
Check out the bags and use a discount code for 20% off all traveler's clutches, ballet totes, and alice knapsacks.

TT for BR
Here's another collaboration for y'all in case, like me, you were thoroughly disappointed in Target's latest one, The Shops. Helloooo....if you're going to say you "love" candy so much that you brought it into your stores make sure it's not something I can buy 5 feet away from the display for 1/4 of the price!!!!! [read: not bitter] But luckily for me, this collab doesn't involve calories and Trina Turk has caught my attention with her upcoming line for Banana Republic. The line launches [officially] June 7th, but will debut earlier for a limited sale on Gilt [exact date to come]. The items are fun and bright like her usual designs, but carry a lower price point. I'm just hoping I can use all of BR's discount codes towards the line, but probably not since Mad Men was excluded.
