eff {steamy}

Today's eff stands for a combo of e's: etsy and ebay.  Mostly because what I'm featuring is better found on sites like ebay, but also in those unexpected places like flea markets and etsy.  The item I speak of is probably the one item I have always been obsessed with having in my future home(s)...probably in multiple rooms: steamer trunks.

Words cannot describe my love for these bulky, antique looking substitutions for a coffee table, side table, hell, any table [except dining might get awkward with such close quarters].  The more distressed and simple, the better in my book.  Once you get too many details and "updates" it turns into the antithesis of what it stands for and doesn't appeal to me at all.  Now, my dream steamer is obvi an LV [like Tisdale's below], but those will run you at least $15,000-$50,000.  Until I'm ready to sell illegal goods and/or my organs, I'll dream of the others I've found.

Le Sak Shoes

The famously casual handbag brand has officially launched a shoe collection [do 3 pairs count as an entire collection?].  I'll stop hating though because they're cute and look pretty dang comfy.  A moccasin, a wedge, and a loafer...can't really go wrong in my book.  Each one is made with natural materials and has crochet detailing, so hopefully they really are as comfortable as they look.  Perfect for summer, especially with that material.

Giejo

Whether you like it or not, the weather is getting warmer and shops are filling their racks with swimsuits, aka sweet reminders you ate a little too much this winter.  I am not a swimsuit fiend like some.  I actually rather despise them because I'm so picky and I hate my butt in everything, but, against what I like to think, the world does not revolve around me and summer will always bring swimsuits and scantily clad people.

I found a pretty unique brand the other week that I thought would be fun to feature.  If it's not your cup 'o tea then stop reading, but if you like to mix it up then check out giejo's selection.  Their suits have been featured in magazines galore this season, so you'll know, deep in your heart, when people are staring that you are okay because you're totes trendy.  My personal fave is the combo of striped bandeau and striped/printed blue bottoms.

.summer.shoes.

Discovered these Rebecca Minkoff Uma flats and Baha sandals a few weeks ago and thought they were the perfect summer shoes...so I knew I had to share.  Short post = me still driving back from Nashville.

Tonight

I'm currently in Nashville with a friend, visiting other friends, going to see the Head and the Heart tonight.  I originally saw them at ACL last year and really fell in love.  Honestly, I think it was 50% their music and 50% the fact they are from Seattle.  But either way, check them out!

etsy feature friday

I've been on the hunt for a new handbag and am trying to locate the perfect one.  I will admit this will take me close to a year, if not longer, due to my overly picky tendencies when addressing everyday handbags.  On this search I stumbled across Byloom and Hyde on etsy and the bags caught my eye.  Not sure if they're my go-to everyday bag, but they would definitely be a welcomed addition to my current inventory.

Oasis

As you all probably know, I'm a HUGE fan of ASOS.  In fact, I am currently waiting on two items to arrive: this [in nude] and that.  More of which I'm sure are to come once I "justify" the purchase.  BUT, until then, I've found another similar British e-tailer that has some seriously cute stuff at great prices.  Meet Oasis.  They are in the middle of their spring sale, so enjoy!

Rikshaw Design

Monday you witnessed my latest obsession: tunics of all varieties for spring/summer.  I love this comfortable garment anyways, but all these gorgeous patterns and designs have me hooked.  Dress, check. Shirt, check.  Cover-up, check.  Tunics are the superhero of summer dressing and I'm currently debating how little additional clothing I can get away with while wearing these things.  I know some people may see me and say, "Bethany, you should really put on more clothing." And to that I will say, "_____, stop hating."

I've been catching up on my Matchbook magazines lately and noticed Rikshaw Design's numerous ads, so I went to wandering the web and found their tunics [they call them the proper name, kurtas] to be more reasonably priced and in great color combos.  Not to mention, the designer creates all of the prints herself from her block-printing inspirational travels to India.  FYI: Rikshaw also makes some seriously cute bedding.
