Monogrammed:Travel Tote

I travel a good bit, as you all have probably noticed, and am always looking for a heavy-duty carry-all that holds my purse items, magazines, books, and anything else I'll need while flying the friendly skies or driving the open roads.

I've had my eye on GiGi New York's Python Embossed totes (ranging from $320 - $475 with monogramming) for awhile.  Mostly because they are the perfect combination of beauty and versatility (and because I can't afford this yet).  SO, when I was browsing C. Wonder yesterday, I couldn't believe they had a near identical tote in an even better color: coral.  This thing is that perfect blend of orange and red, mixed with a little neon.  Not only was the color great, but monogramming is only $10.  Sold.  I immediately ordered the tote with gold thread and am now just patiently waiting it's arrival.  Side note - the coral and cobalt colors are not online, but if you go to a local store/call most of them carry all three color options.

the perfect clutch

I spotted this clutch on C. Wonder's website a few weeks ago and just can't get it out of my head.  First of all, it's leopard (sold).  Second, it's a more affordable version of my one true love, the Clare Vivier clutch.  Third, you can monogram it.  That's all I need to say about that. Lastly, the colors through the middle are versatile and add a little extra, which I welcome 99% of the time.

I started thinking what I would pair it with and couldn't get greens out of my mind.  I guess it's the jewel tone love I have.  Either way, this would look amazing with just about any outfit (I'm also picturing it with all black - so chic).  You can't go wrong.

Unhealthy Obsession: Pistachio

First of all, Happy Birthday to Laura and Susannah!  Greatest twins around.  Second of all, I barely  made it to Wednesday.  I have yet to recover from our celebrations this past weekend.  Me = worthless.  But recovery is a must, because I have an amazing wedding to attend this weekend back in Florida and I've been looking forward to it [You're going to be such a stunning bride Susan!]  Third of all, I can't stop my obsession with emerald [displayed yesterday] and pistachio.  Two shades of green I will never get sick of.  One is so rich and the other airy and more neutral.  With Spring around the corner though, this pistachio hue is everywhere.  Specifically at C. Wonder and I can't wait to pop in and try it all on.

I usually have to stay away from a lot of pastels because they tend to wash me out with my light hair and skin tone, but pistachio seems to be my friend.  Which is great because I prefer it over the lavenders, pale yellows, and baby pinks.  Not to mention, the color looks undeniably amazing with brighter colors, white, and tan.  The must haves for me below are those Sam Edelman heels and H&M dress.

Love is in the Air?

I'm not one of those people that can't get enough of Valentine's Day.  I'm also not bitter about it.  I have a boyfriend, I just don't really care if presents are exchanged [although, I will never turn away a present] or an extravagant dinner is planned.  I like to avoid crowds due to my extreme impatience at an type of inefficiency or prolonged wait.  Which makes me think that the people who do love to celebrate Valentine's Day are probably just as happy that I am not around them.  Win, win.

With that being said, I do love pinks and reds and the incorporation of hearts in almost every line lately.  There are many ways to dress for this lovely day, whether it be subtlety with small pops of pink or red, or very literal with hearts all over your outfit.  Either way is great and you should definitely have fun.  What I like to stress is that this day shouldn't be celebrated by only couples [don't get me started on relationship views of some crazy people out there].  I've loved myself for 2.7 decades and have celebrated with single friends over the years with beer and burgers and I still can't get enough of myself.  And to that, everyone should celebrate...especially while wearing cute clothing.  I personally think I might venture out and wear my J.Crew Heart throb shirt.  Here are some outfit ideas to prep you for this coming Thursday.
