Let's start this Monday off right with a recap of the people I love. Plain and simple, some of my [new&old] girl crushes have been looking uhmahzing lately. No denying it, so why try and fight it? In a totally heterosexual way, I swoon over these ladies, for their beauty and fashion choices. My most recent addition to my girl crushes? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She is re-donk. Her fashion is everything I dream of. I judge my girl crushes [and potentials] on what they wear day to day. There's no point in judging them on red carpet looks because someone else is thinking for them. It's what they wear when they're running around town and going to lunch that gets my attention. Jason Statham better know what he has and hold tight. If you're not familiar with her [wtf] then let's introduce y'all. Oh, and Rosie....call me, maybe?
*sidenote: my friends and I are currently working on a video to send back to the Harvard baseball team
And....some new pictures of an original [royal] girl crush looking stunning attending a couple events this past week.

etsyfeaturefriday
It's Friday again. I feel like I just posted an eff, but I won't complain! Don't have much planned for the weekend, which means I hope to finally finish my lamps I've been spray painting for months now and find the shades I want...and workout...and remember to call my mom on Sunday...and all other things that are ideal weekend to dos.
In my pursuit of the perfect lampshade that also isn't over $100 [which give me mini heart attacks when I see them], I've been stumbling on more and more furniture that I want to a) have enough money for and b) have a house to put them in. Both of those are on the rocks at the moment since the pieces I seem to "stumble" upon are upwards of $500-$2000. oops. No worries, I'll window shop the crap outta these etsy shops and it continues with Modern Arks and their barnwood tables. I want all three, but especially the large one that is out of my price range. I'm in love with the weathered look, but I just hope splinters aren't included because I've been known to get a couple in my day and these tables look a little like the perfect storm.

Office Peplums
My co-worker Jessica and I decided Thursday was a peplum day. Can you blame us? If we're to be blamed for anything, it's for dressing up when you don't have a dress code [i.e. you name it and it's welcomed at our office, but they drew the line at pjs, no pjs people]. Her top is from ASOS and my skirt is from Anthropologie. These are the luxuries

Sandals
The summer heat is pretty much here to stay, so from now on, I'll be in my typical summer flats, wedges, and sandals. I tend to get lazy with fashion in the summer time, not ugly people, just lazy, because I want to look cute with as little clothing as possible. AND I'm pretty sure that exact sentence has left the mouth of any stripper and prostitute you've ever had the [dis]pleasure of meeting. Guilty. But if you're like me, you wear through said sandals each season and therefore shouldn't invest too heavily in these pieces. I am a hoarder when it comes to sandals for the fear that if I throw out my 10th pair of tan ones, I'll need them immediately after. It happens, and it also doesn't stop me from purchasing more.
So, without further adieu, here are my top picks from budget friendly Forever 21 [all under $25]:

Met Gala
The Met Gala was last night. I had forgotten about this until yesterday and then got really excited to see the craziness that would surely ensue. I was officially bored. to. death. This is seriously the only event you can go bat shit crazy with your fashion choices and people just straight up praise you. Show me some originality and insanity people. You made everyone fall asleep [especially you, Dakota Fanning in your washed out LV that looked like it was having you for dinner]. I am so disappointed, but luckily some people got the memo, or at least looked stunning in a mediocre outfit. Thank the lord, otherwise I could have just taken pictures of the skank-a-lanks I saw attending prom this weekend and no one would have known the difference. Let's recap, shall we?
Beautiful People:
Things that stood out:
Beautiful People:
Camilla Belle [minus the vamp lips]
Gorg Couple Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy
Dianna Agron
Emma Roberts
Eva Mendes
Ginnifer Goodwin
Ivanka Trump
Solange Knowles
Things that stood out:
Christina Ricci in a fun Thakoon number
The always stunning Diane Kruger
Brooke Shields paying tribute to Boyz II Men
Beyonce stealing the show, if for nothing else,
having a post-baby bod that can rock that dress
Hamish is the one that caught my eye in this,
not Lena Dunham and her awkwardness
Karlie Kloss and Jason Wu [it's just a fun dress]
And last, but not least, Alexander Wang decided to bring his prostitute Azealia Banks

love list
This weekend was a bit rough for me, but I'm alive. To make myself feel better, I'll think of the things on my want list at the moment. Do I need any of them? Of course not. Will they make me feel better if I own them. Of course they will. These are the things I'm currently craving:
Tory Burch Adalyn Foldover Messenger
[so beautiful and perfect for any outfit]
Nike Free Run+ 3
[greatest slime green color ever]
Zara Black Thin Strap Heel
[a perfectly simple black strappy sandal...currently sold out and breaking my heart]

etsy.feature.friday
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, no one loves a knock-off, but sometimes they're greatly appreciated when the thing being knocked off is way over priced. That's the case with my favorite J.Crew Bubble necklace. My friends all have this thing, but at $150 I just can't pull the plug. Sure, they're on ebay, but super sketch 99.9% of the time. The shop Ily Couture solved my problem. The shop offers look-a-like bubble necklaces, but also in different colors and variations...and only $50. I already checked the length in the photos and its just as big, bulky, and beautiful as my first love at le crew. Simply put, this necklace is straight up jewelry royalty. The thing goes with everything you could imagine and every. single. person. I've come across owns one or fawns over the ones they see. If you buy anything this year, month, week, today, this should be it. Happy shopping!
