skirting the issue

I know, I know...it's still cold, but lately we've had some sunny days and I can't help but start thinking of outfits for Spring and the [hopefully soon] warmer temps.  I live in easy skirts and tops come Spring/Summer and when I saw this skirt in Instyle I couldn't stop thinking about it.  It comes in 4 fun colors and is perfect with a tank or dressed up with a nicer top.  I'm thinking with tights this might just be my year round party skirt.

bright baubles

I've been scanning the sites for some great accessories to add to my collection.  Lately, I've wanted bright necklaces to add a certain punch to my outfits.  I found a slew of them at Forever21 [always reliable for 3 months of wear] and I can't stop thinking about them.  Check out my favorites:

Look4Less:Kate Spade

I hope everyone is enjoying this great Presidents' Day!  I have it off of work, so I'm relaxing and avoiding anything but workout clothes.

I found another look for less, so you all should be happy.  I saw Taylor Swift in an amazing Kate Spade dress and could not get enough of how great it looked despite how simple it was.  The Carolyn dress clocks in at a steep $478 though and that is just unacceptable.

Then, I spotted this Tinley Road dress over on Piperlime and was so excited because it was wildly more reasonable in price.  It may not be the amazing silk we're used to with Kate Spade, but this dress more than resembles the cut and color of the pricier version!

bright bundling

I think it's fair to say that I have a soft spot for scarves.  I own more than any human should, but I'm not mad about my addiction.  I love the look they bring to an outfit and the bright, fun patterns suck me right in and I have to purchase them.  Think of them as a replacement statement necklace when you're adding on the layers, or just because they sometimes look better than one.  I give scarves as presents a lot.  Mostly because it's a gift that 95% of the people like and they can always wear.  No brainer people.

I recently discovered Subtle Luxury and can't get enough of their patterns and color combinations.  All of the scarves range from $20 - $60 and have the richest feeling to them.

seriously obsessed

with my new Morning Dew necklace from Jewelmint.  I've been looking for a pastel
friendly statement necklace and this is perfect for the colors in my closet.
I'm beyond happy with my find and can't wait to start wearing it come Spring.

Recent Buys

I've been going crazy as of late, treating myself to multiple birthday presents because it's a valid excuse.  Let me be honest though, some of these items were funded by various gift cards and/or made possible due to discount codes.  Welcome to my world:

Anthropologie Petrified Wood Bookends
[these have been on my Pinterest "Wanted" board for a looooong time and I finally purchased them with my birthday coupon from Anthro.  Needless to say, I'm obsessed.]

Zara Front Patch Pencil Skirt
[I've been needing/wanting (it's all the same) a navy pencil skirt and I couldn't pass this one up at $20.]

J.Crew Tweed Front Tee
[Loved this the second I saw it in the store,
trying to talk myself out of the navy version as well.]

J.Crew Silk Cami
[I've had my eye on these for awhile and finally pulled the trigger,
knowing I'll wear it with everything.]
